Hi guys. Being a newbie to digital mixing, used to do a lot of disco's and radio, I was wondering if any one has any suggestions about mixing 80's soul tracks. I have found it difficult due to the difference in bpm as well as key. We used to do it in the old discos by slowing down or speeding up the decks or even letting them fade almost all the way out. The rythmn of 80's soul is so diverse it is difficult to make it sound goodand contiguous. If anyone has any I deas they would be most welcome.
Thanks alot from a very Hot London

Welcome. I grew up mixing this music as well but I just want to be certain we're talking about the same stuff. Give me a few examples pls and I'd be happy to share some thoughts. I'm not sure I know what 80's soul tracks are? Is Colonel Abrams or Jimmy Ross an example?
