Topic: Audio Problems Mixdeck + VDJ LE - Page: 1

Dieser Teil des Themas ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten

I'm having serious problems using VDJ LE that came with my Mixdeck. Whenever I mix using VDJ on my mixdeck the sound stutters in a way, where the audio stops momentarily, (around a couple of seconds, sometimes more), and then starts again. Happens usually a few minutes apart from each other. I have no idea how to fix this problem, my computer should be easily powerful enough to run virtual DJ, it's an i5 4gb ram windows 7 etc. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, I'm at a loss of what to do. Thanks heaps!!!

Do you have "Ultra low latency" checked in the sound setup??

Let me know

That's not an option in my sound setup menu?

I currently have:

Inputs: None
Outputs: External Mixer - Deck 1: Chan 1&2 / Deck 2: Chan 3&4
Sound card: Numark

Thanks

Does anyone have an answer to this problem? Or have I just bought a heap of crap?

You didn't buy a heap of crap, lol! That thing and VDJ work very, very well together. Can you post a pic of your setup screen? Can you select "ASIO" under soundcards?

Sorry I know it's not a heap of crap it's great, just been getting very frustrated haha.
Not sure how to post a picture? And yes I can select ASIO under soundcards, at the moment it's just set to NUMARK. Should I change this to ASIO? When I do select ASIO the Ultra-Latency checkbox appears.

Thanks,
Mike

Yup select ASIO then check that box and you should be good to go. Let me know if you need anything else and remember the mixer section IS NOT MIDI.

Let me know

I was able to change the setting to ASIO and this did significantly improve the problem. However it didn't fix it altogether and my sound would still stutter from time to time. I was using the VDJ Pro 20 day trial though which allowed me to alter these settings to ASIO, but now my trial has expired and the only setting available to me now is 'NUMARK'. So it's back to square one really haha.

Thanks, I'll have a look at that link now.

Got virtual dj pro full up and running again and set my soundcard back to ASIO. But she's still go the sound problems :(

Don't really know what to do, my mate just bought a Mixdeck and is running it on a lower spec'd laptop than I am with no problems whatsoever, running other applications like iTunes and Internet Explorer in the background also.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Go into your download center and download the LE7.0.2 and then try it again.

Have got the latest version of Pro Full running now. Still having exactly the same problems. Have improved slightly since changing settings but still running badly. I have tried running DPC latency checker and it big spikes and then will go green for a while then spike again etc.

Thanks for your help

Sounds like you have a program running in the background that is working your pc. Can you post what is running in task manager. Also, try not to have anything like slideshow/random picture desktop stuff or things like that.

I don't have any slideshow's or anything running, just an ordinary Windows 7 background.

Task manager has these processes:
iexplore.exe
KeNotify.exe
iexplore.exe
ThpSrv.exe
IAStorIcon.exe
RtHDVCpl.exe
egui.exe
explorer.exe
dwm.exe
taskhost.exe
CFSwMGR.exe
taskeng.exe
NDStray.exe
taskmgr.exe
FlashUtil10o_ActiveX.exe
nvvsvc.exe
NvXDSync.exe
winlogon.exe
csrss.exe

Sometimes I try stopping processes such as my antivirus which is egui.exe, but this never has any noticeable effect on the problem. I did notice the other day that the lagging stopped altogether for more than an hour. But it is back again.

Thanks for your help!

Well I'd say your system is powerful enough. I don't know have you tried reinstalling the software or the drivers that came with the MixDeck?

Huey
