Vista home 32bit
vdj 70.3
Vestax VCM-100
Drivers are up to date..
Crossfader moves around by itself. This all started about 3 updates ago (vdj7)..
Nothing need to be in the decks for this to happen.
When I move the Crossfader to the right player only, the Crossfader will jump to the middle or ¼ and start moving back and forth like its possessed. Make it very hard to mix.. The “video Crossfader Automatic” and “Fade to Black on Volume Slider” are disabled...
I just upgraded the Primary Hard Drive with a new 2tb drive to see if there might have been an issue with the OP but still happens.. Happens with all file types..
My BACKUP roadcase is also suffering from a similar issue but it's the VALUNE slider that moves..
It doesn't jump to a position like above, it just slightly up and down.. it's all nuts..
HP laptop Vista Home 64bt with a Hercules RMX..

When the VCI-100 is unplugged does it still have this issue? Could it possibly be the CF curve setting on the controller?

Sounds like it might be dirt in the crossfader causing random MIDI signals to be transmitted. Try giving it a good wiggle fully left to right a few times and see if that clears it - sometimes my upfaders get a little crackly, particularly if they haven't been used lately, and that tends to cure the problem.

How old is your unit, are you familiar with the term 'fader bleed'
geposted Wed 20 Jul 16 @ 7:41 pm
Not old at all a few months and it's bleeding like it's been sliced
geposted Wed 20 Jul 16 @ 11:19 pm
When I started we used knobs

Dials bleed too after a while, either it's fader bleed or floating earth/ground.
Its HW at fault.
