Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I have a HP nx9010 notebook, 3.06ghz (1.60ghz) true intel mobile CPU, 256 Mb ram, and ATI 345M GPU.

When a music video is loaded in each player it start lag and stutter. What more do i need to fix it? more ram or faster HDD (external).

Thanks
Flame

Both. The RAM most be 512 at last, but I recomend 1GB. The HD you could change your internal disc if you want (to a 5400 or 7200 RPM HD). An extrenal HD is the option to store your music and videos. It must be USB 2.0 (because, I think nx9010 don't have a firewire input) 160GB or greater.

First go for more RAM.

I'm pretty sure 512Mb will solve your issue.

Pay attention if you don't have 2x128Mb in your notebook ...
If it's the case you'll have to buy 2*256 or 2*512

True, good thinking clax :)

Also, even though generic is much cheaper, I'd still go for a brand name (Corsair, Samsung, Infineon,...), after checking on the memory manufacturer site that the RAM you'll buy is compatible with your notebook.

It's disappointing to insert the new RAM and see that your computer won't boot up, and notebooks are famous for that...

Its not the ram update to 3.1 and disable Video hardware acceleration. The studder will go away.

Hmm.. Still, for the whole, more RAM is preferred. I'd go with atleast 512. You can compensate by increasing the virtual RAM, but hardware memory is better.

You will need 512 mb's of ram to run VDJ. I was partly wrong I didn't notice the amount of ram you were using.
