I'm about to subscribe to the net search and was wondering if their is any pro's and con's to this? I have a LUAU booked in a few weeks and the reggae that i have is not enough to gig for 7 hours. so i was thinking of creating a sub folder of music that I would need for that event prior just incase I don't have a WIFI connection at the event. Also what are my chances of finding that genre in the net search music pool?
ANy help with this much appreciated

The netsearch function is well worth the $10 every month with over 8 million songs from all genres (including reggae, soca, salsa and latin) and the ability to save songs to cache prior to your gig for use later. I try to stay away from using WIFI when I'm at a gig as it uses a hefty chunk of network resources, especially on weak connections or poor signals.

I love the netsearch feature, but try to use it as little as possible when I'm live. When I'm live, I use it for the occasional song that I don't have. When I do a specialty party, I ask the client for a list of songs that they may request. I will then acquire the music, myself. If these people are from the Islands, you will not know what they want to hear. They are listening to new stuff that is not easy to get. Ask them, because they will have it, and you can rip it before hand. If they are not from the Islands, they will not have a clue what they want to hear, and depend on your judgement. Doing a lot of searching, and playing live is not an easy task. You are searching for one track, and trying to either stream or load to cache, get another request to search for, make a mix, see that the stream is slowing down, yada, yada, yada. I like to be as prepared as I can as far as the music is concerned.
