Topic: Mac pro and vdj 7.04 setup

Can somebody help to setup my mixdeck with Mac Pro. I got it working ok with my Windows's laptop but for some reason it works on my Mac but when I shut down vdj I has I can upload files to both deck but it does not play at all, I has to got reset factory defaults and set up sound card then start working again. Thanks

Please ensure that you have the latest drivers and firmware installed from: http://www.numark.com/mixdeck

Then go to CONFIG -> Sound Setup and set your sound as follows:

Inputs: None
Outputs: External Mixer
Sound card: Numark

Click APPLY.

Make sure that the channels on the mixer section of the MixDeck are set to PC.

Ok, all drivers and firmware are up to date, i exactly that for some reason every time we shut down vdj when I open the vdj again I has to go to config and sound set up and press apply and is start working normal it seems to be that it loose the memory of the sound card

Make sure that the MixDeck is connected BEFORE starting VirtualDJ.

If your settings are not saving, then this may be a permissions issue.

Please check the permissions on your VirtualDJ folder are set correctly:

  • Go to the /users/YOURNAME/Documents folder and right-click (CMD+click) on the VirtualDJ folder (Or /users/YOURNAME/Library/VirtualDJ if you have VirtualDJ v7.0.3 or above.)

  • Choose Get Info from the pop-up menu.

  • In the bottom right corner of the Get Info dialog, click on the pad-lock icon and unlock it (You will be prompted for your user password.)

  • Then just above that to the left is the Permissions list. Make sure that your user account has Read/Write permissions set.

  • Just below the Permissions box there is a button with a gear graphic on it - Click on it and choose the 'Apply to all included' items.

  • Once changed, close the Get Info dialogue box to apply the changes.

NOTE: If you use external drives, you will also need to do the above for each external drive, if you have any.

Hey i got all the drivers up to date, and i also got the Numark MixDeck recently, it works great on my Windows.. but i doesnt work on the MAc at all.. although i installed everything there was to install, help please!

First, please ensure that you have the latest VirtualDJ LE v7 installed. Register your VirtualDJ LE serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html and then download the most recent version of VirtualDJ LE from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

If your MixDeck didn't come with VirtualDJ LE, you will need to purchase the latest full VirtualDJ Professional from http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html - You can try it out first for 10 minutes at a time in the latest VirtualDJ Home FREE: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html

Next, install the latest drivers and firmware from: http://www.numark.com/mixdeck

Then go to CONFIG -> Sound Setup and set your sound as follows:

Inputs: None
Outputs: External Mixer
Sound card: Numark

Click APPLY.

Make sure that the channels on the mixer section of the MixDeck are set to PC.

Hey guys i need help with Mac pro and Hercules rmx mixer .. installed the virtual 7.0 now i cant get the virtual and the mixer to work together ... what i am i missing ???
