I am getting a distorted noise coming through the headphones whenever I try to preview the next track. At first I believed it to be my audio interfaces fault(m audio fast track pro) and I first noticed it on ableton live not vdj. So i purchased the numark dj io and I still have the same problem.
While looking through the forums I found a few ways to configure vdj and the soundcards but not of them got audio from the master or cue except for the asio driver and I would only get audio(distorted) through setting the headphones to chan 3 and 4 even though the dj io doesnt have a output 3 and 4.
I currently have vdj 7 on a 64 bit windows 7 laptop but I had a 32 bit windows vista laptop when I first had the problem with the fast track pro. I've researched this problem plenty of times and never found an answer so im hoping that by posting I might be able to finally get some help. All help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

If you receive a constant distortion sound, try to increase the ASIO buffer size from the Control Panel of your Sound card.

Skipping, stuttering and distortion is normally caused by performance issues with your computer and/or incorrect configuration in VirtualDJ.

NOTE: To use multi-channel external sound cards such as the Numark DJIO, you will need either VirtualDJ Basic or the full Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html - Home FREE has limited sound options.
