Hi
I have been using this software for a few days and now I have a big problem:
Initially, when I had 1 song playing in each deck (2 decks), when I hit the SYNC button, the song's beats would match but the pitch wouldn't change (even if the songs had differents BPM's, it would only match the beats).
Now, in the same situation, even if the second song isn't playing, when I hit the SYNC button the pitch always changes. This is very annoying, especially when the 2 songs have very differents BPM's.
For example, when I'm playing a 126 BPM song in deck 1, and I have a 155 BPM song in deck 2, if I hit the SYNC button in deck 2, the pitch will change to -18.8.
Isn't there any way to stop this, and only match the beats? It's very important. I would appreciate any help. Thanks ;)

you just need to enable "keylock'

I think you haven't understood the question.
The user wants a way to locally superpose 1-2 beats even if both songs don't have the same BPM (so without modifying the pitch).
Use "play_onbeat"
(or "play_sync_onbeat" if you want the same action but with tempo synchro)
Indeed, there are 2 ways of synchronyse a song in VirtualDJ:
- based on CBG [also known as beatgrid] (a position, visually a square under the waveform, calculated by VirtualDJ after detecting and analysing beats in the whole song) : the best way (considering the BPM is constant in the whole song otherwise CBG won't be sync in the whole song)
- directly on beats so locally
So you have 2 parameters:
- the pitch/tempo (ie 2 songs with same bpm = songs are "read" at the same speed )
- the phase (ie beats/... superposed)

Thank you so much, that's exactly what I wanted. Just a brief sync to switch the deck ;)
Thank you once again. I am glad to see you guys are providing great support to VDJ users! Carry on the good work :)
