OK..now that i got your attention..hopefully..i'd like to start off by saying hello to everyone here on the forums as this is my first post on here and would greatly appreciate any feedback. I recently bought a numark mixtrack, numark dj/io and some headphones. I received my DJ/IO and headphones first and as such wanted to set up my computer for when my mixtrack comes in..so i can just plug and play. Sooo after idk how many installs and uninstalls of the driver that came with the DJ/IO I have had no success as far as getting the sounds to produce in 1.my computer speakers and 2.the headphones. Whenever the DJ/IO is plugged in, the red light comes on and all sounds stop. I open Virtual Dj and under settings/sound I click: ASIO driver - Numark USB Audio Device. When I load a track onto deck A/B, the song loads but the PLAY button wont work. When I open iTunes,youtube...no sounds whats so ever. I am at a complete lose of what exactly I am doing and greatly need the help.
Now in my head and correct me if im wrong..this is how i understand the setup to work....1.plug mixtrack into computer via usb. 2.connect dj/io to computer via usb. 3.plug headphones into dj/io so I can cue up the next song. What I'm not sure on is if my speakers can be used via thru my computer or if they have to be adapted onto the back of the DJ/IO via RCA cables..In other words I want to leave my computer speakers plugged in how they are right now thru the jacks on the back of my computer but if doing that, Will that not make me hear the sound?
IDK!!IDK!!IDK!! Im more lost than ever :/
I am running windows vista 32 bit. i am 95% the driver installed correctly..when i go to control panel and under sound...and when the DJ/IO is plugged in, its read and says its working properly but that is obviously not the case.
Also please note I have installed the driver 2.8.9, an older driver than the one shipped as I was having no luck with the current driver.
I would greatly appreciate feedback, ask me questions if you need to and ill try to answer to the best of my knowledge, I really want to make this work, I dont want the hassle of having to return it and buy some other one.

OK first of all you need to understand that the idea of using an EXTERNAL sound card is that you no longer need to use the INTERNAL one!
With the DJIO connected, ALL your sound should then go through that. You connect headphones, speakers etc. to the EXTERNAL card in order to hear stuff.

I recently purchased the DJ/IO and I'm trying to hook it up to a laptop (Dell Inspiron 1525) Vista 32 Bit using virtual DJ and an external mixer!!! I tried to hook it up to a numark dm1002x and it wasn't working correctly. I had nothing coming out of the mixer. I had the cables from the I/O going into the line ins on each channel on the mixer and at one point I had sound coming out of the speakers but it sounded very distorted. Then when I unplugged it from the mixer and just ran it through the the I/O I only had sound coming out of one speaker. Could it be that the I/O is defective or maybe even the mixer? I also have a Gemini 3600 & Gemini 6000, would either of these work better? I just would like to be able to use Virtual DJ and Cue songs and use a mic!!!! Please help me out as soon as possible because i'm set to DJ at a friends wedding in the near future!!!!
Thanks.........
Thanks.........
