The waveform looks like that because you have zoomed out. Click on the [2] button to far right to return it back to normal size.

wav forms that close will always look different because it's showing you more definition closer. if you're just talking about the matching up of the squares (because you didn't really specify in your question) then I can tell you to go to your scratch screen and make sure you're on absolute and most of the time that'll pitch the beats right where they need to be and set the squares on top of each other to make sure it's 100% in synch and use beatlock if it's not on already for tracks with close enough bpm to not distort the track by pitch when you add it (unless you like that sorta thing)

If you're talking about the look of beat grid (blocks & bars) at top of the screen then try to change the zoom wav forms that close will always look different because it's showing you more definition closer
at the top right corner of the screen you have 3 buttons with numbers 1,2,3 and in your shoot you have [1] is white highlighted=active, try change to 2 or 3 will give you more beat details. Opposite at the left corner you have a slider to "fine tune" the zoom. However this will also change the run speed of beat grid.
Since you are a Windows user, I use to have a lot of problems with VISTA, but before with XP and now WIN7 everything is running smoothly, so try to change this vista when you have a chance.
