Is there a way to hook 2 powered speakers to a mixer;
and have the mixer control the volume?
I assume the spkrs connect to the line in on the mixer;
but will that control each channels volume?

Forgot to mention that I want to go from the laptop
into mixer and then powered speakers.

That is what a mixer is for so the answer is yes. Laptop Output (Headphone out) to Input of Mixer, Mixer Line OUT Left and Right to powered speakers.

You'll get far better quality by using a decent pro spec sound card rather than the laptop onboard sound.
Sound outputs of computers are not designed for high quality, just to get you by.
It may sound OK on a pair of iPod earbuds, but feed it through a DJ mixer and powered speakers and the flaws will show.

Thanks for input. I have it working.
I was trying to use DJIO from computer to mixer.
No problem. The output from mixer only had one
set of RCA outputs. The work around is. hook up one
speaker to L and the other speaker to R output.
Guess I should have given more details in first post.
Again thanks
