I am new to the Computer DJ scene so I need some help. First here's my setup:
17" MacBook Pro
American Audio VMS4
2 x American Audio Radius 1000
Korg Nanokontrol2
Korg Nanopad2
All equipment is plugged into the MacBook via USB. I know that the VMS4 has a soundcard built in, but I was curious if it would be worth investing in an external soundcard i.e. Echo AudioFire4? Excuse the question if it sounds amateurish.

Although the VMS4 does have a sound card built in, it is not the greatest. You can use a different sound card. Just set it up in Advanced Configuration in the Audio setting. Not familiar with the Echo AudioFire4 though.

Do you use one? Do you have a suggestion?

I ended up getting the DN-MC6000. I would like to sell the VMS4.

Yeah. I'm definitely getting a card. Do you just use the controller or do you have external decks, like cd players or samplers?
