one fateful day (around 5 hours ago), I ran VDJ, and changed the resolution to a higher one. The program seemed to work fine, that is, until i closed it and reopened it. Now, whenever I open VDJ, a message (warning) appears that states that the resolution of the program is higher than that of the computers, and the display never comes up.
My laptop (a very good one, brand new) runs windows 7, and upon the window not opening, the task-bar at the bottom of the screen shows a preview of VDJ as it would usually do (when it's ghosted over with the mouse), but it shows a nearly transparent, glitchy version, and when i try to click on it to open the file, it does nothing.
I have tried everything to resolve this problem, and i mean everything; fooling around with the preferences of the file, deleting all the VDJ files and re-installing it, un-installing it and re-installing it, shutting down my computer, restoring previous versions of it, but absolutely nothing is working! i have had VDJ for less than a day, and i was just getting into it. It's a shame that i stumbled upon this glitch, and even moreso that i can't find a way to fix it. I just can't find a single thing to get the screen to show up. If someone would be kind enough to help me, i will give them my eternal gratitude, and some chocolate. (Because who doesn't like chocolate?)

It might be worth trying this, to see if puts your display back to normal.
To do the following you will need to be a license user.
It has worked when I have played around with skins.
Download Registry Tool
http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/2170/Registry_Tool.html
Unzip and run the Version for Operating System , if WIndows 32 or 64
In the top right hand section there is a line for current Skin
Copy and Paste the following
VirtualDJ 7 (2 Decks):1024x600
Click Apply the CLose, Try Virtual Dj, to see if it sorts it.
nb. Your display resolution will have to be greater than 1024x600 for this to work
