Hi All,
Help needed please, I have installed the DDJ S1 Mapper from vdj.com however the jog wheels do not scratch ?
Vinyl mode is on..
I saw somewhere that someone had to enter something like %50 in the MIDI Mapping for the Jog Wheel?
Any advice would be great as i dont really want to use Itch software :O(
Many Thanks
Cerrie.

get the registry tool and change the default scratch latency to around 1020, there is a video on heuy's (beatbreaker's) blog of how to do it.
you also need to ensure that vinyl mose is on, there is a button on the default skin in the scratch panel, or you can set it in config, or map a key to "vinyl_mode"

From here: http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/controllers.html?category=best&order=default&search=s1
However, you will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to download and use it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

Audio drops are from the audio settings being set to fast for you system. Just because one settings works with out software doesn't mean the same settings will work with another. Also, you need to read the Itch forums about this product and the 'audio' drop issues. And you do not need the downloadable mapper if you are using the lastest version of VirtualDJ.

Thanks for the info ..
Would you advise uninstalling the mapper i download and just use the one with VDJ latest version?
I will play with the latency settings and test it, just figured it worked fine with the VMS4 so should with any MIDI controller, Doh.

I would use the built in mapper. Just delete the DDJ-S1 files from the VirtualDJ\Devices and VirtualDJ\Mappers folders.

Thanks Mate,
Works so much better now, i can at least fast-forward and re-wind.
However its still no where near usable to scratch with or even cue a track with any accuracy.
Any more advice ????
Thanks :)
PS the unit is soo responsive with Serato Itch, If i put my finger on the platter the track will tremble. The Pioneer DDJ-S1 actually has 9720 clicks per revolution so i know it dead accurate, Must just be a software setting.. right??
