To load new samples on Mac, please do the following:
(1) Download the appropriate samples from the samples download area http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/samples.html and save these in an appropriate folder on your hard disk, e.g: /users/YOURNAME/Documents/VirtualDJ/Samples or /users/YOURNAME/Library/VirtualDJ/Samples for new installations of VirtualDJ v7.0.3
NOTE: Do not try to open the sample file. Save it to disk only.
(2) In VirtualDJ, go to the Sampler section.
(3) Click on the bullet button to the top-right of the sample slot you wish to load a sample into. Choose Load from the pop-up menu.
(4) Browse to the above location where you saved the samples and choose the sample you wish to load.

You will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Pro at a discount to load custom samples.
VirtualDJ LE is limited software and does not support this, except during the 20 day trial of the full VirtualDJ Pro.
Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/How%20do%20I%20change%20the%20skin%20or%20use%20plugins%20in%20VirtualDJ%20LE%20or%20Console%20Edition.html
You can upgrade at a discount by going to: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

@Stievie Gonzales: Thanks mate!
@Support Staff: Are you kidding me?! Why does everything cost all the time?! Isn't it enough with paying 581 € ?! Can't the Virtual DJ let you have your own samples then?... Sick !
Nothing in this world can ever be free anymore..

You have to know that you payed for the controller, NOT for the software...
The limited edition you get for free is to get to know the controller and the software.
It's probably some kind of marketing trick LOL, but without the LE edition you wouldn't be able to use the controller ;)
You also have the possibility to buy PRO BASIC, or download the FREE HOME edition, or other stuff but they all are limited.
You can see what program can give you what here:
http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html
Keep in mind that if you paid that amount for your controller, you are probably entitled to a "big" discount" on the full PRO ediition.
I for example got a 4-mx for christmas, also with limited edition and it was worth more then 100$ discount...
You can check that here: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
and enter your serial in the box you see...
Good luck!

Agreed with Stievie but just for the record: Only the LE-version and the Full Pro-version will work with your controller. The Basic- and Broadcaster-versions won't. If you want the fulll benefits of the program you have to upgrade to the Full Pro-version. (and it's worth every single dime ;) )

Then all the free stuff will follow... Upgrade, samples, skins, plugins, and most of the time you'll get quicker and more replies on posts!
Cheers!

I have the LE version and I just uploaded a mp3 ( my "sample" material) and then went to sampler and on empty channel hit record and it will record the mp3.....granted it's not as easy as the free home edition ( and why the heck not?)...it's works just fine.....and asap i am upgrading to pro I think...cheers...and i'm brand new here and thanks for all the info from the experts here!
