I tried to record a mix by hooking up an RCA to 1/8 cable out of the unbalanced output from my mixer into the mic port of the laptop.
I set up VDJ to use the two DN-S3700s as audio cards and controllers and audio goes from the players into the X-1600 mixer.
When I listened to the mix I could hear the track I was getting ready to play as if there was no control over the channel faders from my mixer into the output.
Does VDJ record internally from its own "mixer" portion instead of the line in?

VirtualDJ will record from its own internal software mixer unless you configure it otherwise using advanced sound config.
