Hi
I have always had a problem keeping 2 separate audio cards in sync on my laptop, the audio on the second (thankfully headphone) channel syncs in and out, causing distortion when not in sync.
I have been told previously that the 2 cards MUST have the same sample rate & frequency etc in order for VDJ to be able to keep them in sync, however, having given up trying to get to sound outputs in sync i re-installed my ECHO DJ card.
I have exactly the same problem with audio in my headphones distorting even tho i am using 2 outputs on the 1 card now, it usually starts off distorted when i press play on the deck i am monitoring then after a little while slowly gets clearer til it is ok.
I i try to use an external mixer & use 1 output for deck 1, the 2nd for deck 2, one deck will distort when i am mixing in to it, making a real noise over the sound system making that set-up impossible.
I did try ASIO but after running for about 1/2 hour my laptop totally froze up with no sound or video, since that was the first time that had ever happened i disabled ASIO & haven't tried again.
My current sound set up is OUTPUT - "Headphones", SOUND CARD - "2 Cards", with front & back outputs set to my echo card (1&2 + 3&4 respectively).
Traktor light works fine with this set up & hardware config, but i have this problem on my main laptop & my backup machine in VDJ (both lenovo thinkpads).
I didn't use to have a problem with VDJ & this hardware pre version 7.
