hello all
any help will do... I am doing a major Aids benefit I need help on the best way to set up for this
this will be a 10th anniversary They want to set up to do a podium for speeches and projectors for
a slide show what is the best way to go about this purchasing is not a problem i have done mobile
dj work but never set up to actually do a mobile video gig please help

Hire a proper a/v company to set up screens and projectors for you. Sounds like a pretty important event, you need pro gear and people who already know what their doing.
 
This is quite simple. I treat all functions the same, important. Some just require more labor than others. How big is the room, and how many people. How will it be set up. If the room holds 1000 people, but there are only gonna be 400 people, the set up is crucial. This room is too big. Depending on the amount of people, you may only need two 37 to 50 inch LCDs. If it's 1000 people, you will need projectors.The slide-show plug-in works great, but you may need to create a montage. If someone is gonna speak with the slide show, you can adjust the speed of transition. I do these types of affairs all the time. just get all the details, and make a plan. I do make two copies, just in case. One is a file and the other on DVD, on two different computers.
