I doubt if Wego can be assigned to different midi channel rather than 1. But indeed there might be a conflict issue with some other device.
The most common devices that may conflict with a midi device are the bluetooth, wifi, Logiteck hardware, web camera and ACPI Battery Manager
Try to disable alll of them (step by step) from the Device Manager and see if it helps.
Use the DPC Latency Checker and leave it running in the background while VirtualDJ is running

How stupid do i feel. the main issue with my wego crashing was ------------ THE STUPID CABLE ---------- i bought a new cable as part of eliminating process and the computer shop sold me a cable that was a pile of rubbish , i realized this as the crashing got worse when gigging as the vibration from the bass at the venue was vibrating the socket and loosing some of the connections thus freezing VDJ and sometimes cutting sound depending on how bad the vibration is ... remember guys your audio is carried through your USB cable and pioneer and other companies will skimp on the quality of your cable supplied. look on djkit.co.uk they have usb a to b cables for around £20 or i found this cable that looks pretty good
http://www.hificables.co.uk/11763/Wireworld-Ultraviolet-USB-Type-A-to-B.html
i still have the video issue but i pretty confident that i can now run the registry tool to allow full usage of video memory to fix the video stutter..
my appoligies for getting frustrated forum

Well the possibility of the cable being an issue was stated by several people earlier in the thread :)
Glad you're sorted with the crashing, although this doesn't explain why it was only happening on Windows and not Mac?

Plug in the Wego. Go to Control Panel > Sound
Choose the Wego, hit configure and choose Quadraphonic.
Windows should then see the Wego as a 2+2 card and you'll be able to assign WDM to both channels.

Just wrote directly to Pioneer stating the issues...although I don't really expect them to reply with a solution seeing as no one has been able to offer one on the forums.

Is a mac notebook any good ??
geposted Fri 15 Mar 13 @ 1:06 pm
It's subjective. I have tried and much prefer Windows. The difference in price between a Mac and a decent Windows machine is quite high.
our either love Mac OS or hate it, however Windows 8 isn't going down that well.

my laptop is not giving me the quadraphonic option can you advise me please on how to use the windows sound driver, i used my wego sunday night and had different issues using a new usb lead which i paid £20 for, the sound quality was poor and i was getting one channel through the phonos. also i was getting intermittent asio driver errors
i was not getting any crashing like before with the old lead..
so if anyone can get me set up for windows sound driver that will be a big help

unistall the asio wego driver
go to realtek.com re install your hd audio driver
re install your asio wego driver
that might help
( also try a better quality usb lead )

Its been 32 years since the incident... and not really because Pioneer hadn't released the We Go by then...ok bull aside- I just updated the firmware from version 7 to the new released version 1.8. And after a solid hour of testing...I could not be happier to report that my issue was finally solved. Everything has been working as it should. I'm not sure if I'm more relieved that my unit now works properly, or that I no longer need to carry to laptops just to get through a gig.
^That is the message I wish I could post. But no. Even after the update, it still has failed me, and I'm forced to bring the 2 laptops with me to every gig :(

man that's strange. I used mine just this past Friday for 3 hours...no issues.

I'm not really one to give up, but I fear that I reaching the end of the line. Ive posted on Pioneer forums and wrote directly to them to get no response. This forum has been the most helpful yet, but I still aren't getting the results I need. I figured I would try to explain my situation one more time:
I have Windows 7
Ram: 4Gigs
System Type: 64 Bit
My DDJ-We Go is installed and all the software and drivers are up to date.
Firmware: 1.08
Driver Pack: 1.000
When I open Virtual Dj and load a track, the jog wheels on the WE GO work smoothly. No stutter at all...but the second I touch the crossfader or EQ knobs, the entire program begins to stutter as well as the audio. I'm using the We- Go sound card as instructed. But it is unrealistic for me to use this live with all the stutters... I don't know what else to do. Can anybody lend a hand?

have you tried another laptop ?
geposted Wed 29 May 13 @ 2:29 pm
...Yeah I stated that above. The We Go works perfectly on an old Mac Book Pro I have. But as much as that's a small "get by" solution, it has really inconvenienced my entire set up and process. As I do visuals as well, I run Virtual Dj off my main Windows 7 laptop, but this "whole" transferring music from one laptop to the other and all my comments and ratings plus having to bring an extra laptop is really frustrating me as stupid as that sounds. My We Go should work on my Windows7 laptop regardless of anything. And that's what I'm trying resolve
