Topic: Problem with Denon MC6000, Timecode Vinyl and Dicer. - Page: 1

Dieser Teil des Themas ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten

Hello!
I have a Denon MC6000 with turntable and Dicer.
I have the problem that if I have the Dicer mapper does not work on the Denon and if I have the Denon Mapper the Dicer doesnt works.
anyone know how to do in order to walk the 2 controllers?
thank you very much!

I bought the Virtual DJ Pro but I still have the same problem ...

before installing the Virtual DJ Pro I uninstall the previous one and pass the ccleaner.
install, configure everything, but when I have connected the Dicer but freezes the Timecode Vinyl.
the only thing that goes is the Dicer but nothing more.
Dicer appears in Mapper, change the mapper of the Denon but nothing happens.

I leave a video so it's easier to understand what I wrote:

the version of Virtual DJ Pro 7.4 is the B453
get update and tells me I have the latest version.

I watched your video and by your sound setup, I saw you are trying to use Denon MC-6000 as timecode interface.
As far as I know, Denon MC-6000 has no timecode support. Denon forums are full of examples of DVS setups with 6000 with a common point: all you can do is set your controller as a stand-alone mixer and plug a DVS box at their inputs.
So, I suggest you to forget timecoding for a moment. Change the sound setup to MC6000 default settings and check if both mappers (Novation andf Dennon) works.

This is very interesting, there is a lot of information out there about lack of timecoding support at Denon 6000 soundcard. So, I was believing that it was really the problem.

I think you can change this particular and common point of view. Help people to setup your DVS systems with Denon MC-6000, making an easy to set tutorial showing how to configure it. Just my 5 cents about it...

Anyway, that is not the point anymore....

I can't helkp you with mapping issues, hope someone can do it.

All work perfect now thanks to user Somelike!!!
Thank you very much!!!

Great... but the question is: How? I'd read the spanish forum topic and the way it was done is not clear. The information was shared in a private way.
Of course, you can do what you want to, but I hope you and/or Somelike decides to share this knowledgement, after all that's why forums are for.

I'd really like to know this too...

I have a 6000 and have been using a MAYA44 to get timecode working.

Cheers,

Roy

i send you pm.
Greetings!!!

As I stated in my reply to your PM. It's a physical impossibility for the Denon to handle the time code signal. The 6000 does not have a 4in - 4out soundcard. You cannot send the time code signal to VDJ and have the output sent back.

The only conclusion I can come to, and one you eluded to in the PM is that you have the turntables have their own soundcards, they are connected to VDJ via your USB hub and only the output channel is being sent to the 6000 and you are using it purely as a mixer.

Can you confirm which TT's you are using and how they are connected?

Cheers,

Roy

For the record. I have my 6000, 2xSL-1210 Mk III's, a pair of dicers, access to a pair of CDJ-1000's and a Maya44.

Cheers,

Roy

noup!
i only connect Dicer to hub usb.
audio technica lp120 connect direct to denon mc6000.

please connect direct technics 1210 to denon mc6000 unused maya 44.

the knobs have to be so:

canal 1 aux1
canal 2 midi
canal 3 midi
canal 4 aux2

and now with that configured virtual dj.

if you want use traktor you cant, you need a native audio soundcard.
or serato, you need sl2 soundcard.
you dont need nothing else if you use virtual dj.

According to DENON, TC setup is possible with MC6000 after the latest firmware update.
Prior the latest firmware, the signal from the inputs was routed to PC post - fader.
After the latest firmware the signal from the inputs is routed to PC pre-fader, allowing it to be used as a TC interface.
I will try to hook up my DN-S3700 in hybrid mode this week in my MC6000 just to demonstrate it, and I will post instructions.

Wow... on many counts...

1. That they designed the hardware to be re-routed this way and
2. That they actually did it
3. That they haven't sung from the rooftops about this change.

I'll be looking to update my firmware ASAP and will be trying both CDJ's and 1210's.

Is there a specific setup required for the 6000? Int Mix? PC Mix? What about latency settings etc.

Will it work on all four channels?

Cheers,

Roy

This has been known since last year. Keith was supposed to have tried it out, not sure if he ever got around to doing it.

If anyone gets this working properly, please let everyone here know, and not just pm between each other. Let's not keep it a secret.

I never got a chance to try it, the 1210s in the club have been "borrowed" permanently and I don't have decks at home.

To be honest I haven't been keeping up to date with developments on the MC-6000 as I abandoned the Denon forum some months ago. Sick of taking time to help people then getting my posts edited and deleted without notification by the over-zealous moderators. Silvio didn't take any action so I made the conscious decision to leave them to it. Shame really as it was a good place for info about Denon products.

Keith

Firmware up to date... Hopefully I can drag a 1210 out of storage tomorrow.

Will report back.

Roy

i use with no problem at all!!!
Virtual DJ, 2 Audio Technica lp120, 2 Dicer and Denon MC6000.
:)

If someone uploads a video I might sell my Stanton DJC4 and grab a Denon unit......
