I was wondering what difference does the following option make in practice? Should I have them enabled or disabled if I'm using MIDI controller (Mixtrack Pro)?

Smart play , plays with the CBG synced (great if your CBGs are perfect)
Smart loop is if you use the in and out loop buttons it makes the loop a perfect 1/2/4/8/16 etc if you get the presses close enough to the size
Pitch lock locks pitch slider 1 to pitch slider 2 what you want if you have 2 tracks in the mix and you want to speed both up while keeping the beats matched

Thanks!

Smart play - a noticed that Virtual DJ is often wrong about CBG even in house music. For example in Martin Garrix - Animals it's off by one beat (1 beat too late). What about in those cases? Should I disable smart play? Or should I manually fix beat grid and still use smart play? It's really important to not miss that 4/4 phrase in that style of music.
What about in cases, when VDJ can't even get BPM right? I remember that was the case in Steve Angello - Payback, impossible to mix.

Smart loop - is that feature the same as manual/auto loop switch on MIDI Mixtrack Pro?

You should always correct the CBG, samples and some effects depend on it, smart play , personally I don't use it as I have lots of breakbeat with syncopated beats that means the CBG is only a guide. (How much help do you want pressing play at the right time)

Have a look at the manual, it's long and a bit boring but it will answer questions you wouldn't even think about asking .

And how to do that as fast and as accurate as possible in live set?

to correct a out of phase CBG the quickest way is a custom button or a controller button with this script
set_firstbeat

that will set the current position as beat 1,

personally I don't use smart play for 3 reasons 1 my db is far from neat after the 7 to 8 switch and 2 I've got many tracks that switch syncopation, 3 I usually loop the incoming track and get it nice before slamming it in if it's that sort of mix that and my timing is most of the time up to speed.
