Not sure if this question ever got answered.
So, the default skin redraws the whole skin x amount of times a second.
Do any of the new skins just redraw the bits that need to be redrawn, or do they have to redraw the whole skin.

I remembered there was talk that the CPU or GPU was being used up by redrawing the whole skin.
And I was wondering if it was possible to design a skin that only redraws the bits it needs too.

Redrawing is controlled by the skin engine, not the skins themselves.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies.
At the moment I'm not having any issues. I am running vdj8 on win7 and win xp.
I was just wondering if anything had changed with the skin redrawing. I remember a lot of talk about it using a lot of cpu or gpu. And this causing issues.
@SBDJ, thanks for clearing that up. So if I understand correctly, all the skins will redraw 100% of the skin? Is this something that may be changed in the future, or is there a benefit from a 100% redrawn.
I am not criticizing, I am just curious.
