have sorted it another way now which will be a lot better
just in case its use full for some one else
pfl = select & wheel_mode "loop_move" while_pressed
lets you adjust the loop if not quite lined up, using the jog wheels whilst select is pressed down

A nice post on the Italian forum. The point being that this code can be applied to any button, and while pressed may enable you to fine tune a loops position using your jog wheel. It works for me, I wish you the best of luck.

I would need to find 2 buttons to use that don't do anything on my controller. A spin off from that is how would you script the ability to shorten or extend a loop? For those odd songs from the 70's/80's that a loop just won't fit right. I use the mouse pad but I always end up moving the loop first not changing it like I want to.
