Any chance you connected a controller that comes with VirtualDj LE 8 ?
In that case (for such controllers) it IS possible for the device init to change this option if the manufacturer has asked for it.

well yes ...i connected the wego2 that i bought a few days ago, but since i have a vdj pro license i did not think that anything would change...
why would pioneer do that ?
now i have to go through all the options to see if anything else has changed..
its good that i have a backup & screen shots of what the settings where

I had that happening last saturday too.
At the beginning autoheadphones was working correct, but suddently it stopped and for the rest of the night I had to switch PFL manually.
I don't know what caused it and it was the only problem I had.
Pioneer DDJ SX btw.

autoheadphones will stop working once you manually click on a PFL button and make the PFL differe from the SELECT.
If you want to get it back, you need to make the PFL to match the SELECT buttons so have the PFL On to the selected deck only.

Aha, I didn't know that. But it makes perfect sense.
Thanks for the clarification.

It has been answered before, but here you go:
When you connect a device that comes with VirtualDj LE8 and the manufactured has asked for specific options to be changed, then these options will be applied each time you see the "New Device Detected" window.
If you check the "Don't show again" checkbox (which by default is enabled) the next time you connect the controller it will not show the "New Device Detected" window and therefore it will NOT alter your current settings.
As for why manufacturers (in general, not just Pioneer) ask for this option to be altered the answer is simple:
Most manufacturers still think the "analog" way. Therefore they believe that the PFL selection should be altered only by the user, the same way an analog mixer works. In fact, if you notice when you connect your WeGO2 you will see that the deck 1 PFL button is also off while VirtualDj by default has this button on when it starts (without the controller)
