Hi, been using vdj 8 on my mac os for the past year with no problems at all. Last couple gigs however my software is starting to freeze up every 20-25mins which stops all audio outputting for around 2-3 seconds then it comes back or restarts the software. Highly frustrating and embarrassing.
The cpu readings show 1 bar green and only fluctuate a few bars when i open the finder to brouse for a tune quickly.
My mac is had a clean install when i bought it and only has vdj installed on the system. Last night i was using video files for a nye party but again it failed on me and i had to switch to back up serato put on in the morning and good job i did!
I have tried uninstalling vdj and installing a clean copy in between gigs and its still doing the same. Any advice? Possible bug?
Any help is appreciated.

....and the controller you're using is?
I guess you must be using one, as you mention switching to Serato (DJ I assume) and that requires hardware to be connected.
So, working on the assumption that you're using an unmentioned controller, have you tried VDJ without it to see if it still freezes?
The likelihood is that it's the controller (or the connection between controller and computer) that's causing this.

Woops forgot to add its a pioneer ddj sx 1 :) and i havnt tried running without a controller a gig as audio is outputted via my mixer xlr. Not something i can do mid gig to switch between controller and no comtroll easily.

No one's saying do it at a gig! Just try it as a process of elimination. If the s/w only freezes with the SX connected then it narrows things down.
You said it's been fine for the last year. Is that with the SX?

If you search the forum there have been posts fairly recently with people having issues using Pioneer controllers on Macs...
