Hi there first thing I'm not here to bash the software just to see what other dj's think and who agree with me?
Example I have never used default VDJ skin because taking to much over the screen, I mean the players are to big ,small browser wasted space and not useful.. dj's only need waves the more simple the better is that's gives professional feel and look.... before I have used midnightblue skin which is very nice and when I have seen phantom dj skin tried and I have said this is how it should look professional skin this remind me on recordbox ,but I think personally this is much better than recoedbox, the recordbox goes over the screen same as virtual dj default skin players are to big I hate that,phantom dj skin is a beauty nice view,everything is at right place......
phantomdj skin should be the default in virtual dj or something near that ?

Where is the problem? If you don't like the default, take another one.

I know everybody has different taste and there is no problem I'm just saying it would be nice to see something like this skin to be default in future simply because this kind of skin is pro, pro looking...
phantom dj skin it could be just an idea how the VDJ should look in the future....

My only issue with the default skin is that the players are too big and the browser too small. There's a lot of wasted space in the player area that could be compacted a bit.
Apart from that it's fine for most new users until they find something else matching their exact requirements.

kradcliffe I agree! In my eyes professional skin should look's like phantom dj one which is very compact skin.
What I would add to that skin is:original default wave form for people who still like default waves and just to keep original feel and look of Virtual dj
and I would add day light version
I know a lot people that they don't like the phantom dj skin because of the scratch wave's that's what missing!
We all know that Virtual dj is recognizable and special because of their default wave form that's why I think they should keep that....

The PhantomDJ skin is designed for use with a controller (no on-screen mixer). Some VDJ users, especially beginners, don't have a controller.

groovindj exactly that is good point that should be for professional users only default skin phantom dj,that is way that should be default professional and serious default skin
for beginners: should be the today's default skin with all this shining buttons players etc..why do you need that big players on the screen it looks like you don't need controller if you don't need controller what is that man? how people will consider it ? that skin looks like hardware?

that should be separate download for beginners and separate for pro users...two different layout's for pro and beginners

That isn't going to happen.
The beauty of VDJ is you can change the skin. Default or otherwise you can have the interface that you want.
I don't see any need to change anything. It works well as it is. Everyone has the flexibility to have VDJ look how they would like.
