If you have a PRO License from Virtual DJ, do you still have/require a license from CPDJA for (paid) gigging? thanks

They’re totally separate... VDJ is a software license.
The other is just an association membership.
What you really need are:
Registered trade/operating name from Registies
City Business Permit
Liability Insurance
Legit Music (Connect License - former AVLA or Licensed Music from pools i.e. Xtendamix)
Standard Sound & Lighting System (with the gear and software of your choice)
*Most DJ associations won’t accept you as a member without all of the above.
