Hello...
I currently use a pc for all my virtual dj stuff and I do nothing with that laptop but my music. My other pc laptop that I use for email, shopping, surfing, etc is 10 years old and in need of replacing. I am considering a mac for its replacement, however I want to be sure that should I switch my dj stuff from pc to mac down the road, that it can handle it. Do you feel the new Macbook Air could handle virtual dj just as well as a Macbook Pro?

Don't do it... Stick with PC but buy a decent one.

The same guy who poured a load of water over a Lenovo and they sent him a new one, no questions asked. It's worth noting that the Lenovo still worked for a few months after the water.

There is really no need to switch anymore
But if you do it anyway, I would go for the Macbook Pro
The Air is made specifically to not heat up and not use a fan, and because of that be as silent and light as possible
To achieve that the performance has been lowered considerably. IMO that's exactly the opposite of what you want in a DJ laptop
