For me are the wheel colors more important than the screens. So I can see, which player is running and in what position of the counts they are. What can you see on the screens? Cover? Logo? Which effect you are using? Well, for those things it's enough for me to see it in the skin.
The only thing that would be nice are the motor wheels, but that will be never solved.

The only thing I don't understand is that the purchase of the S4 is made dependent on the functionality of the screens and the motor wheels. It has many other functions that are also supported by VDJ. It works reliably and is otherwise completely usable.

I've just purchased the Kontrol S4 MK3 for using it with Virtual DJ and the support is amazing! Thanks for the great work. Of course, haptic feedback and display support would be excellent, but working with this is soo cool, even without it.

I love SHIFT-JOG to move fast through a record, and edited this mapping to do that.

Just in case this helps anyone, I manually edited the mapping zip to replace
<map value="SHIFT" action="shift" />

with
<map value="SHIFT" action="shift & loop ? wheel_mode 'loop_move' while_pressed : wheel_mode 'search' while_pressed" />

Thanks for your help! If anybody else wants to use it: Instead of editing a zip-file you can use the Controller Editor. Just go to the shift-section and enter the following code:
shift & loop ? wheel_mode 'loop_move' while_pressed : wheel_mode 'search' while_pressed

I prefer to use SHIFT + MOVE Encoder to scroll through the track like in Kontrol S2 MK3. If you like it as well: Just set SHIFT_MOVE_ENC to "beatjump".

can i play with s4mk3 at virtual dj with a pro subscription or i must have a pro infinity subscription ?

the uv leds at master volume dont work , can someone help me

Is it possible to adjust the jog wheel tension at all? I've found that the controller starts up with some tension, and this makes it impossible to backspin. Traktor Pro will detect and disable tension while backspinning, but I'd be happy to just turn it off entirely.

That's a question I am also wondering.
But I doubt it will work.

Hi everyone,

I'm quite perplexed here. Used to use my Kontrol S4 MK3 with two turntables. only needed to install the addon and the asio drivers. I have a new laptop that is really good now but I cannot get the the phono ext to turn on. I think it has something to do with the mapping or the audio configuration. Can someone please help me out I'm going nuts.

I don't understand why Virtual DJ staff are ignoring this request. It has been years, and yet they don't care to address it.

Come on Virtual DJ, finish the mapping for the S4 Mk3 please

Yesterday I identified a little missmatch in the mapping - pressing the stems-button at the Traktor S4 MK3 -> slicer menue opens at VDJ. So this easy to fix.
Doing this I got the idea to add more functionalities fpr the Traktor. The idea for e.g. Denon Live or Denon SC has a display. Does anyone know if this works? If so, maybe the mapping of these controllers can be copied and/or adjusted for the Traktor S4.
Does anybody has the mapping for Denon or other controller with display?
Or is my idea nonsens?
