From updates to updates more and more modifications/changes do not show in changelog
- logo, icons, fonts...
- actions
- script
- removed functionalities
- options
....
most of these hidden hacks are blindly breaking things we may discover during gig or far aftrer the update
many may take time to discover how to workaround or use as is
some other are totally incompatible with what was an automatism for years
i.e.: update b5281 is specially incompatible with what was existing before
verbs already present but functionality disabled or not working as before
deck identification/numbering change
many habit must adapt due to default location and parameter organisation change
many scripts are broken due to modifiation in parameters passing
- with editor never be fully fixed and mostly unusable -
of course some time upgrades may cause problems, this is understandable
it is not so simple to handle such a software

This has come up time and again, and it bothers me although I don’t think I’ve previously been vocal about it.
I think it’s time for more rigour around the way updates are documented in the change log.
I still love the program, but would like to stop guessing at updates and reading questions on the forum which could be answered in the change log. Probably less work for staff, too, instead of responding here when someone is caught by surprise.
