Been recording for awhile now without issue, but today I tried to do a remix of a song that I own and have recorded before and it won't start when I hit the play
button. It just says "Waiting for the music to start" What Gives?
I've tried multiple songs that I've recorded before and now the record function just won't start. I've restarted VDJ same thing.

I am getting the same error. I heard turning off video acceleration under the video setting in config helpled some people. It did not help me though

It most likely means that there's a problem with your audio configuration if it says waiting for audio.
Do you have a record line in your audio config, and if so is it set correctly for your setup?
