Topic: want my launchpad mini to play my own samples independent of my Pioneer Sx2

Hey im new to doing script on Virtual dj just want to and my samples to be the controlled by buttons on my novation launchpad mini, to work independent of my Pioneer Sx2. Just got to figure where in the script to I add the samples. and can I drag and drop them from somewhere.

then eventually want a section for effects like rolls and drums

thank you
ps if I just see a line of script I can figue it out

I don't think using the LPmini as an independent pad page is the way to go
the default mapping
$padmode' 0 gives you access to all 64 available sample pads

yes I read that, the LPmini is mapped to all 64 of the sample pads so IPP [independent pad page] is a step backwards.
It would mean remapping the LPmini and creating a padpage for samples for it.

It depends what OP wants, how independent, he could mapped direct, [a bit painful]
sampler_play_stop "C:\Users\user\Documents\VirtualDJ\Sampler\liquid_vinyl_drums\Liquid Vinyl Drums\Kicks\AverageKick"

there's definitely better options than IPP in this case.

If you want direct sample mapping this as a custom button will save some pain
search "`get_browsed_filepath`"

I use my LaunchPad S for samples and didn't have to map anything, (I can't map my way out of a paper bag). Take a look at the options here.
