Topic: DDJ RZX no waveforms? - Page: 2

Dieser Teil des Themas ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten

Could you try the other builds from the download page as well to further pinpoint when the problem started exactly?
(6156, 6240 and 6242)

on my Alienware GTX 1080

6156 = ok
6240 = ok
6242 = ok
6263 = borked

this 6255 build works on my Alienware R4 17 with GTX 1080 ... waveforms and stems separation works as expected.

Thanks, can you try if 6280 fixes it?

Running 6280 on my Alienware says my graphics drivers are out of date and disables GPU accelerated features... Windows device manager say's I have the most up to date driver and GeForce experience app also says I have the most up to date driver too.

6281 pops up at the start and says that my gpu doesnt support accelerated math... once that dialog is closed I then see another dialog with a green progress bar... I think this is downloading the compute shader for the gpu accelerated functions? once that dialog is complete mathEngine is set to GPU but I then see yet another dialog that states my GPU doesn't support accelerated math... The smaller preview waveform is missing but the main waveform is present.

If the download is complete, try to restart vdj. Do you then still get the incompatible popup?

yes I tried restarting, didn't get the green progress bar again but it still moaned about my GPU being incompatible and didnt work

This is with the GTX 1080?

yes,with 1080... reluctant to mess with the attic setup as that works for the moment :) This is my second laptop that sometimes run VDJ on to test how two tunes mix sometimes before going upstairs to play for reals :)

pretty much the same it seems :(

is it something to do with how the graphics cards are enumerated? This laptop has two different GPU's and my attic machine might also have onboard graphics enabled, I would have to check.

Maybe its just picking up the first gfx card in the list?

Task Manager shows this

If you upload a build with verbose logging enabled I can send you the log file if that helps?

For stems it doesn't matter which one is selected, it will always use the nVidia.
Try to set mathEngine to Automatic again and restart.

I had math engine explicitly set to GPU... switching that to Automatic as you suggest fixes STEMS and waveforms on my GTX 1080 Alienware.

After another restart, does it show GPU or CPU being used then (in the mathEngine setting)

oh... its set to CPU... flipping it back to GPU brings up the "Your GPU doesn't support accelerated math" dialog

Which version of the nVidia drivers are you using?

one from 2019 apparently
