I have an issue with Virtual DJ that is driving me mad. When the music is quiet, it sounds like it is playing at full volume, but as soon as the bass kicks in etc, it sounds like the volume has been turned down like auto volume levelling or something. I turned off the Auto Gain option, but that has not made a difference.

sounds like your gains are way too high and the limiter is kicking in.
