Topic: So I made a thing. auto ducker

I made a auto ducker [windows], it's only a virtualfx prototype for now but if there's interest I might make it a plugin.
it's a bit better than just script as you dial it in.
demo video uses a track on deck 3 as voice as I don't have a mic on hand.

dial 1 is loud threshold [5-60%], if vu_meter goes above this it will instantly reduce levels of decks 1 & 2 [30%]
dial 3 is silence floor [5-60%], if vu_meter goes under this it will count as silent
dial 2 is how much silence [100ms to 2 seconds] it will count up to before the levels of deck 1 & 2 are returned to full.

Great idea! I'm very interestet at your Line-in auto ducker.
So I can use this for my Roland 707m, where I use Line-in 3 as the DJ Mic.
Autoduck the other decks will be fantastic. Till now I do this manually with the linefaders.

The built in talkover function ducks all decks, so my Mic-Input is also ducked. Soit is not useable with the Mic on Line-in.

if you're windows you could give it a try.

Great idea. Not sure wjy this isn't built in already. Would be great if there was a concept of bus where the auto duck affected the outbound signal after it was sent to the recording bus.
The work around would be to use banana audio and auto duck externally to vdj I suppose, as most people probably do currently.
