Topic: Trouble synching BPM across different installations
I do my set planning on PC at home. I then sync relevant data via external HD to my laptop for mixing when Im out.

I sync database.xml, playlists, virtual folders, history, samples etc. Also sync mp3 collection separately.

I just synched to laptop and the ratings were missing on a lot of tunes,
I found setting "Get rating from tags" and then *most* of them were updated (not all).

But the BPM is missing on approx 25% of them.

Does anyone have any idea why BPM might not update on some tunes ?

Thanks

HOW you "sync" everything plays a major role.
So, can please describe the procedure you're following as best as possible ?

Remember: The database stores information based on the filepath and filename of a file.
If the file goes to a different filepath or gets renamed during the "sync" procecdure, it's data will get lost from the database.
Also the database files themselves are not interchangeable (for the most part)
Each database file holds information only for the media files located on the same drive as the file.
So, if you copy the database file of your root/system drive to an external drive, it most likely won't work correclty.

So, HOW you perform these tasks matter. In order to help, we'll need as much info on the process you're following as possible.
