Topic: DDJ-SB3 Custom mapper & Pads
hi everybody-

a quick question :

when i am running a custom mapper on my ddj-sb3 i cannot change the pad order : Out of the box pad 1 is hotcues & pad 2 FX FADE & pad 3 is PAD SCRATCH on my controller.

I want to have the pad 2 to be stems or something else & Pad 3 to something else

is it possible ? or are these pads controller firmware locked ?

Is there a way for this to be done on a custom mapper ?

thanks in advance

...my mistake..

maybe i was not clear about what i want.

i know how to change the pad pages on a controller, but on the sb3 they seem to be locked to the controller.

i tried but it does not give me a choice on the drop down list to change them

The SB3 is a little different in that regard, because it has the auto-scratch feature, and that's actually "mapped" directly in the firmware of the unit
So those types of pad modes are locked on the SB3

From the VDJ hardware manual for the unit:

Such a terrible design idea, buttons sending macro'd midi I could get onboard with if it was configurable, but fixed is a special kind of stupid, how didn't somebody think "isn't this something the SW should do?"

Knowing pioneer somebody probably did, and we'll see it in the SB5 edition.
