Topic: Is it safe to browse a drive that's configured as CDJ export?
Sometimes other dj's who normally work with Pioneer play on my system (VDJ with Denon Prime 4). When I browse their USB in Virtual DJ, I get an alert telling me it's configured as a CDJ export, and the option to browse it anyway.

My question is, is that safe to do? Will it compromise the recordbox database in any way? Or add a VDJ database to their USB?

There's no harm in doing so, but it might be more convenient to browse it through the 'CDJ Export' folder, that way you also see the playlists that were already on the drive.

Hi Adion,

Thanks for your super fast response. To be honest, I just learned about the CDJ export, I'm most definitely going to explore that one in the coming weeks since I play on Pioneer gear sometimes too.

Now, I always connect my laptop to the CDJs / XDJ, but if I can just export all my Virtual Dj playlists with all the cue points and stuff to Recordbox, I wouldn't need a laptop for those gigs anymore.
