Hi,
I'm trying to understand how windows and VDJ work when it comes to screen resolution.
I have a laptop with a WUXGA+ screen (1920*1200). It supports all non-widescreen resolutions from 640*480 to 1600*1200, but only 1920*1200 in widescreen.
I'm wondering why it is that I can't maximize another widescreen-skin with a size of lets say 1280*800, and have it cover the whole screen.
Is it because my screen does not support 1280*800 windows display mode? That the XP OS can't convert a program's fixed windowsize from a non-supported to a supported resolution when maximized ? I'm asking... is this VDJ's fault? or windowsXP's? I'm presuming the latter. :)
If this is tha case, my next question is.... Can this be fixed in some way?
I'm thinking that maybe VDJ could incorporate code to resize skins internally. In other words making VDJ resizable to preset sizes (regardless of the skin in use.)
For example 1024*768 to 1600*1200, or 1280*800 to 1920*1200 (my case :) )
Keeping the height/width-ratio. (so a 1024*768-skin cant be resized to 1280*800)
I'm guessing that this is just an issue for us widescreen users. Or maybe just me. :)
Many thanks for any input?
Cheers!

might be because your screen does not support 1280*800
Because maximizing VDJ to full screen should scale it - to your current size

I maximize the program. I have my resolution at 1024x768. I have my taskbar set to "always be on top", yet the Virtual DJ program covers over it. How do I stop it from doing this?

Simple, don't maximize the program.

Just press the restore button on the skin ..also known as the maximize button but it can do 2 things either maximize or let u move the skin around like a regular window, youll know if u got it right when the mouse cursor turns into a cross while your over the top bar of the program, this tells u the skin can be moved
