What is a direct drive turntable? Do I need any specific turntables to use virtual DJ? What sound card to we recomment at this moment now as well?

Direct Drive Turntable A Turntable with a Direct Drive Motor that is directly moving the plater of the TT. Some other Turntables are BELT drive, so have a ruber belt around the plater to move it.
As a DJ the standard is Technics-1200 MK2 or MK5. Some other also use a Numark TTX.
For soundcards and TCVs, M-Audio Delta 44 or Delta 66, or even a Creative X-Fi Platinum.
If you don't want to use TCVs, then any 4.1 or better soundcard will work with VDJ.
