My specs on my laptop are:
Northgate Laptop
p4. 2.0
1 gig of ram
Windows XP (optimized for audio)
VDJ 3.4
DAC2 Controller
Maya USB 44 Soundcard
When using Beatlock now VDJ drags. Is it a latency issue?
Thanks in advance.

Norway, I'm assuming that Master Tempo and Timestretch are the same thing. If so I do have it turned off. What Beatlocking does now is when start the other player it drags or lags to catch up with the other track that is playing. It's very noticable.

I have the same problem for some time. Since version 1.09 the beatlock has been changed and I'm still not convinced that it new one is a better one. The beatlock has been re-made for mixing with 4 decks, but most dj's only use 2 decks. Due to this new feature the beatlock is using it's own track to beatlock itself also, that is why you hear the noticeable ... i call it a "glitch", its like a sweep in the track. It's like you hold the record for a very small time and the turntable has to catch up to speed.
Eagerly waiting for version 4.0 to see if many problems are solved!

beatlock uses CGB's.... (the dots under the beat)
If they are not aligned properly to the beats, it will sound a bit "dragging"...
Normaly I would say "dont even use beatlock", but if you insist, hehe... the CBG's needs to be perfect for it to work right...
A better way, is to hit sync, and not lock (beatlock)... But if you wanna use lock, then the cbgs needs to be good...
Hope that helps;)

I'm afraid that the CGB's are perfect in order. I've done the testing a million times. After a few tracks the beatlock goes dragging (as the term is used here). I have no idea where this can be the problem, but I guess it is a memory issue. But I have 1 Gb of memory. In earlier postings people told me that it was the lack of resources, but I have this on my brand new computer too.

Hopefully this is not a dumb question, but I figured out how to align them up when both players are not spinning. But how do yo do it if one player is playing and the other is not or in cue?

There is a technique in the General forum "tips and tricks".

I just read it, will it work if one player is already playing
