hi guys
You have probably heard this question a million time b4 but here goes, me and my buddy have decide that mp3 and digial mixers is the way to go with our live set and we are completely unsure of what hardware we should get for the best result, we have the pc (and a mac 2!).....
we have looked at the following and was wondering if you guys have any thoughts about these pieces of hardware and if there are any we are missing (we should have a look at 2)..?
the hardware we have looked at are the following:
. HERCULES DJ CONSOLE MK1/MK2
. BEHRINGER BCD2000
. EVOLUTION X-SESSION
. Kontrol Dj
. Fadefox
so what should we do and where so we go from here...?
cheers

Well... You and your friend should start different way.. First with software, then ask for ardware ;)
And you will need 2 copies of VirtualDJ PRO if your friend wants to use it too. And by the way VDJ is only for Windows at the moment.
About hardware..
MK2 or BCD2000 is the best choice from described choices. MK1 is old one..
If you get MK2, you can't fail if you start with it. Later you can upgrade and buy external mixer because it has sound card built in.
you can use EVOLUTION X-SESSION as video controller or sampler controller. but hardly as audio controller.
