Topic: SCAN HD crash [solved]

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hi,

I wanted to do a HD SCAN on my local database and after some songs virtual DJ crashes. I removed the txt files en restarted, but with the same problem. I used the search item on the forum but didn"t find the solution.

Can someone help me?

the problem:

- open virtual DJ 4.0 : ok
- click local database : ok
- Do you want virtual dj to scan your HD for MP3 files : Yes : ok
- Then I select the external HD and unselect all the others : ok
- I don't check analyse on BMP : ok
AFTER SOME DIRECTORIES
--> Crash guard
a fatal error occured, virtual dj will try to automatically recover from crash...
yes or no
VIRTUAL DJ ENDS, no database is there so the search function can not be used...

please?

this usually happens because of a corrupted mp3 file.

Please try analyzed folder by folder.
Until you locate the problem file

Try this:-)
First go to lokal database with right mouse click and scan harddisk!after start analysing the files!!And not to many folders at the same time:-)Best only a few folder(not to many tracks like hundred`s at the same time)maby it work`s for you.for me it did:-)
If you are not scanning the harddisk before you scanning files you are in deep trouble(means vdj is crashing or hanging)
hope i could help

now how do u know if a mp3 track is corrupted? if u have tons of tracks, u have to listed one by one? or is there an easy way to identify them?
