I am still awaiting the OS X release. Nonetheless, I am commencing my research. Based on other users experiences when the Auto-pitch/beat-match functions are engaged, do they work when the song has an instrumental beginning say of keys only, or a bass line; basically anything without a kick-drum. Are Auto-pitch/Beat-match the same function with two different names? or are they the same just used in a different context, and if so which context? Please advise, thanks.

as beatmatching is pitchmatching effectively
it works with anything it is calulated via analizing the files wavforms
