I am 100% new to this so please excuse my possibly daft question!
What is time coded vinyl? Is it a way to record vinyl onto a pc and use with virtual dj? Do you load to you pc or is a real time mix? I have a DJ console 2 coming tomorrow and use a soundblaster audidgy 2 nx external soundcard.

A timecoded vinyl is a special vinyl with a signal that goes from your turntables, into your PC soundcard, and tells Virtual DJ what you are doing at the turntable (Scratch, nudge, play, stop, pitch etc). In this way your turntable is a controller for the software...
