Dear itznoodle

Virtual DJ 3.0 has not been available for a long time indeed,

It lacks many of the features we now take for granted and love :)

be aware that cracked copies have a very nasty bug , caused by the crack which will after about 2 hours will cause loud static and can lead to possible damage to speakers ,

So please get the latest demo 4.2

http://www.virtualdj.com/download.html

And benefit from the new releases features :)
and if you like this program and , or would like to expand with adons
please support its development by purchasing it ,

Kindest Regards

Simon

You probably need mini-jack to phono... mini-jack into soundcard, and phono into mixer (line in).

What you need at the soundcard end depends on your soundcard though...

yes;)

Two of the cables above, into your two outputs at soundcard, and the two (pair of) phonos into line in at two channels at your mixer...

Hope that helps, and hope to see you as a full member soon, if you like the software ;)

i do like the vdj its easy and fun to use....is it true that independent stereo channels on a sound blaster sound card would not work the an external mixer? or just any two output soundcard would work?

any two output card will work ;)

from cheap usb surround cards, to proffesional cards..

Better cards give better dynamics/sound, so dont go for the too cheap cards, but the mid range give nice sound.
And soundblaster have some very good cards too, all from cheap to real good ones..

yes, you would need timecode vinyls if you want to control VDJ with turntables
