Everything working fine with XP pro until I get into hard core video mixing. I'm told Vista should cure that issue. What version do I need?

Buy Home premium Upgrade, install it as a Demo to wipe the system at this stage DO NOT ENTER THE CODE. Let it fully install, once that is done Upgrade that copy by installing again THIS TIME ENTER THE CODE, that is how you get a clean install from the upgrade version.
