HI guys. I've been using Hercules RMX with virtual dj but i've decided to buy something more professional.
I got 2 CDJ400s 1 DJM 400
I hooked both cdj400s to the computer but the mixer is like only a volume control... the crossfader does not work or the effects...
Can someone explain to me what do I need to buy in order to have this configuration???:
BOTH CDJ400s playing mp3s from the same laptop
the DJM 400 acting as a mixer with all it functions
do I need to get a sound card please help thank you very much

The effects onboard the CDJs do not work in midi mode. If you used the CDJs as stand alone CD players the effects would work, along the same line you can still use the VDJ effects using the keyboard or mouse. What do you mean by the corssfader works only as a volume?

thanks TearEmUp i already figured it out... I wasn't using the ASIO driver and when I activated it it works like a charm... thank you anyways... I don't know why I bought that damn RMX is nothing but problems... CDJ+DJM+music from laptop is a dream come true
