Hey, i'm new to DJing and wanna remix songs. iv done the basics like change the EQs and stuff but i wanna know how to give a soft song that extra beat and turn it into a hardstyle remix, iv heard remixes were the same tune of the beat is kept but its way more intense with more bass and a stronger techno sort of vibe, any ideas on how to do this?

In a live environment just cut a bit of the bass on the soft and either 1; play the beat of another track on top of it, looped or otherwise. 2; play a ripped or composed beat on another deck or a drum-machine or whatever.
Most producers that do remixes like this usually ask the owners of the material very nicely or re-create the parts.

First you want to set cue points and you'll have to consider what type of remix are you going for. Are you going for a straight mix where there is no vocal edits and you basically play Track 1 (Soft) and loop or play through Track 2 (Hard) and hope for the best, or are you going to make a well done remix. First thing first is checking your BPM. don't go trying to mix a 98bpm song with a 128 or higher bpm. once you've got your bpm down, start making cue points in to the vocals of the soft song that you want to use. A good way of making a global deejays type mix would be find a vocal cue point you like. make a 4 - 8 beat loop. Then go to effects and go to beatgrid. first thing you want to do is click micro-grid. second thing you want to do is change the effect loop length. on the bottom right of the grid are three arrows. click the last one so the beatgrid continues. play around with the grid and see if you can find a beat you like. Grab yourself a good bumping beat, start the beat and use the filter or simply fade in your loop and you are well on your way to start making a remix.

honestly the best way to do it is get something like audacity and take the song and drop a strong instrumental form another song on top of it. Once you get skilled you can bring a drum machine with you to an event and create beats on the fly. Sharam does this quite well. But learn the basics first and make remixes at home till you get good at it.
