I rented this mixer to try it out. I get either a crash or error in ASIO driver when opening VirtualDJ. Did the "USB B - enable", sound card was available once. Is it something to do with it running 24bit 96khz?
Powered off an on the mixer and was not able to get the card to show up again
Issues:
1st, how to get the mixer in USB mode.
2nd, is there any other config to make it work with VDJ.
thanks,
David

Make sure you have the latest drivers from Asio Denon
You need to put it in USB B Mode (Page 20 of manual)
to put it in USB mode B do the following:
hold the Utility/-USB A/USB B button for 1 second
using the EFX SELECT Control so select ok/cancel and press the button down.
If all is good you should You should see the USB A on top of the FX screen change to USB B
also make sure you set the sampling Freq on the X1600 to 44.1kHz
VDJ does not support the default setting of 96kHz.
I don't have a X1600 but I had an X1700 and I remember having to do this.

Denon DN-X1600's built-in soundcard works with Mac OS on Timecode (DVS), with less cables to use. Great sound quality and great performance! I still need to work on the unit's other features though, like the MIDI control (then mapping), and its on-board 14 effects. So if you're thinking of getting a 4 Channel Mixer in preparation to the release of Virtual DJ 7, I strongly recommend this one! They have a very, very, nice tech support too.

Thats correct.
You also need to be in USB-A mode to change the freq to 44.1kHz (cant do it in B mode)
